This recent painting by our friend, the Vancouver artist Karen Curry shows le Moulin's patio in summer. You can see more about Karen and her excellent paintings at:

KAREN CURRY STUDIO

We are delighted that Karen is planning to run a painting course for her students at le Moulin du Chemin for six-days starting 31 August 2014.

We originally reproduced snippets from the le Moulin's visitors' books - years of charming comments and compliments from our guests. The warmth of the guest's comments reflect the bonhomie of a Moulin holiday. We compare le Moulin's conviviality with that of French country wedding, which can last several days.

The task of choosing the most flattering visitor-book comments proved daunting. Considering that the comments tend to be personal remarks from guests to Carolynn, Peter and the others at le Moulin and because you, the reader almost certainly would not bother to read them if they were reproduced here (understandably so, and by the way, it's amazing you have got this far) we decided against a Guests' Comments page.

le Moulin by Martin Day. Martin's ink drawing was incredibly made in less than two hours with the aid of a considerable quantity of fine Cognac.

Instead of a Guests' Comments page we decided to reproduce some of the artistic contributions kindly donated by guests at le Moulin. However here is a guest comment that we could not resist to reproduce. It is from the lovely Eva Yin from Kowloon, Hong Kong. We had problems reading the characters, but Eva assured us the comment is worthy of reproduction.

Well done! Tenacity can be a virtue, sometimes with it's own reward!
